Venue

The Wellbeing Rooms, Bearsden

Jo has a dedicated therapy room in Bearsden in North Glasgow. This is a newly refurbished therapy room which offers a calm, comfortable, safe and secure space. This location is ideal if you are looking for a psychologist in Glasgow however Jo can see clients who can travel from any geographical area.

The therapy room is called 'Bardowie' and is on the first floor of a fully renovated and freshly decorated therapeutic wellbeing centre called 'The Wellbeing Rooms'. The building benefits from security entry at street level. Unfortunately there is no disabled access due to the stairs. However remote sessions are available.

The venue is very accessible via public transport as it is 0.4 miles from Bearsden train station. Hillfoot train station is also only 0.9 miles away and within easy walking distance. Free parking is available at Bearsden train station, on Kirk Road and the Glebe car park at the bottom of Kirk Road (both time limited) and in nearby residential areas. There is a pay and display car park at St Andrews RC church on Roman Road nearby.

There is a waiting area where you can normally have a seat if you arrive slightly early. However, during the COVID 19 pandemic it would be appreciated if you can arrive as close to your appointment as possible as the waiting area is not currently in use.  Jo will always endeavour to see you at the arranged time of your appointment. All appointments last for around 50-55 minutes.  You are welcome to bring someone with you for support but given the waiting area is not currently in use, they would have to wait outside or come back at the end of your appointment.

Please note that Jo offers online therapy or telephone sessions due to the COVID 19. Jo uses online teleconferencing software called 'Zoom' which is recommended for therapy work due to its high levels of confidentiality and encryption.

Fees

Dr Jo Christie offers an informal chat (approx 15 mins) to discuss what you are seeking support with and whether you would like to make an initial assessment appointment. This contact is free of charge. Should you wish to proceed, further terms and conditions shall be issued by email.

Psychology assessment and therapy appointments are charged at £120 (from 1st of May 2022) for a 50-55 minute session for self-funding clients.

Fees must be paid in full at time of booking in order to secure your appointment slot. Similarly if you are running late for an appointment, it will not be possible to extend the session past the allocated time.
